The Horolovar 400-Day Clock Repair Guide 8th edition by Charles Terwilliger This copy has some definite wear on the dust cover, but the book cover is in good condition with only a little scuffing. Binding is solid. There are a couple of edits written into the book and a printout of the edits attached in the back. There is also a little highlighting, but very little. See photos for best idea of condition. Of interesting note, this copy was owned by Marybess Grisham (see inscription), who repaired and was active in teaching others about clock repair. I'm sure this book was a valuable resource for her, and is ready to be a resource for you. About the book A fascinating history of the 400-day clock in the United States of America is followed by a well-illustrated guide to the repair of the many different versions of the clock. Gives the answer to every question about 400-day clocks which will ever face a repairman. Explains the escapement action in simple, understandable language, using clearly and carefully detailed illustrations. Makes it possible to tell-in less than a minute-which of 21 different strength suspension springs is correct for over 350 identified clocks. Shows how the suspension unit should be assembled for every model imported since 1949.
